That was on the corner of Electric Ave and Mason Street in Somerville, MA. I used to live very near there.

I also expect the community to form some sort of vigilance committee to get volunteers on the streets to do what the person who was recording doing, only hopefully with more presence.

          • Yeah, kindergarden kids can be right and still be in the kindergarden. Maybe experiencing fascism in a more “in the flesh” way can teach you guys a lesson that the rest of the world is waiting for way too long for you to learn

            • kindergarden logic is hoping for immense suffering, genocide, and slavery, to “teach a lesson”. kindergarden logic is thinking the us sliding into full blown fascism doesnt make the geopolitical landscape of the world far more oppressive. i recommend you think for half a second before openly advocating for genocide.

                • im not sure you understand my and others’ responses based on this. in the lead up to any genocide, do you think it makes sense to tell the soon to be slaughtered and enslaved, especially the ones who have been fighting against it, “hope you learn from this”? you are just advocating for cruelty against your political allies out of rightful anger at the perpetrators.

                • by their comments, apparently the rest of the world has been hoping the us would fully fall to internal fascism and genocide its minorities like immigrants, trans people, political dissenters, and most likely far more. this is just advocacy for genocide.

                • Who is going to learn from this? The people who voted for this? The people whose entire narrative revolves around a sense of victimhood? Even as they’re being wronged by this government they still don’t get it. And people who are disproportionately affected by Trump’s rule are not going to be WASP republican voters, they’re going to be Black, brown, queer, disabled, immigrants, and so on.

Nothing is going to be learned here and the people most severely impacted by this nor did they want or deserve this. So chomping at the bit for “just desserts,” comes off as quite misguided.

  • Immediately downloaded the video just in case it gets taken down!

I’m German and my father is such a Trump fanboy, it’s sickening. I used to immediately debunk the hyperlinks he’d send to facebook or group chats, but he’s been pretty quiet to me lately. I have lost all hope of changing his stubborn mind until actual mass executions are committed, so I’m just collecting all this shit to throw in his face afterwards to at least get the satisfaction of showing him why I was against this coming regime long before mass executions.

    • I spent a semester in Niedersachsen in Gymnasium (for those unfamiliar with the German education system, there isn’t just one type of secondary institution, though I can’t imagine being an exchange student for Hauptschule), and the American education system still did a decent job of covering Hitler’s rise, but with glaring holes.

Actually living there, you get a lot of context. Not that we were hanging out at the Rauchpavilion discussing the Third Reich or anything, but interactions in the '90s were still strongly informed by the Nazi era. A primary example is that anyone who claimed to be proud to be German was inherently ostracized.

All of this is ultimately throat clearing to arrive at: This is worse than Americans have been led to believe (in combination with declining education standards).

      Much worse.

When you’ve been spending time among people whose parents lived through the Nazi era, you hear the sorts of stories we’re now seeing hit the news daily. Daily. It doesn’t get better from here.

  • Fascists in action huh. We need more of this kind of footage.

We need to catch these fascist tripping in a George Floyd type incident. Get people upset enough to commit to action. This seems too calm for people to get enraged.

Her lawyer said: “We are unaware of her whereabouts and have not been able to contact her,” “No charges have been filed against Rumeysa to date that we are aware of.”

  • Very evil. Some irony in that they want to make it illegal for protesters to wear masks. Past any point of return for zionist fascism in America. Too much bipartisan unity in supporting it, and then “next they will come for some others, and opposition will still say nothing.”
