TIL someone trademarked it.
Really demonstrates how broken our trademark system is.
What are they gonna do? Sue me for using it?
When I pushed him on whether he’d sue anyone over trademark infringement, he admitted it was possible but said he’d only take on large companies. “So kids drawing on their school books will be safe?” I asked.
“Of course!” he exclaimed. “The symbol is nothing without the people who draw it on their school books or tag it on their walls. All I hope to do is inspire people to draw the S and truly revel in its irreverence.”
You’re good.
I know how hard it is to write {curly braces} by hand. This is terrrifying
Once I started having to write “{ }” by hand for school (Calc 3 maybe? Infinite series?), I would just zone out in class practicing them because they always looked like trash.
I can say now, that years later, I can still write them very well. Calculus 3 on the other hand…
