I have been jamming to a djent musician for the past couple of months, and they have gone from about 10k subs to 40k on YouTube.
I think it would be nice to have content creators posting here, but I’m concerned about people complaining about YouTube and other platforms. Also, after the way Alex from Technology Connections was treated, I’d hate to see us get shitty reputation.
So, again, I ask before inviting them. What do you feel about inviting content creators? Is is invading your space? Do you welcome people just trying to make it? Would you rather keep them separate?
I have no problem with it. Maybe a dedicated self-promotion community would make sense so people could post their own videos without feeling like they’re spamming /c/anime or whatever. Those who don’t want to see that could of course just block the community.
It is a musician, so assuming they don’t flood a music community it won’t stick out too much.
I am half tempted to make a music community here, but I don’t feel that I can give it the attention it needs.
I don’t see a problem. If need be, they can create their own community, on this instance or otherwise.
If people dislike their content, they can simply block them or their communities.
If instance moderators find their behaviour unacceptable, they can be banned.
I think they would be welcomed here. Heavy murder moe vibes.
What kind of content do they create?
Marketing?
The musician creates music. Dysmn is the name they go by.
What happened with technology connections?

I found the link I was looking for earlier.
Thanks for the background - I hate people sometimes >.<
