Mastodon has several ways of ‘banning’ a users, and apparently ‘frozen’ users can migrate their followers.

I don’t want to labour this point too much, I generally agree with you that Bluesky handles this better and it’s the direction fedi should be heading.

I mean those followers wouldn’t mean much if Bluesky stopped indexing your profile though, unless they also jumped to an alternative relay.
