I’m disabled and can’t go places atm. I’m getting into movie nights via twitch streamers, and I’m gonna help organise one of them.
What are some films that would be good to watch? We stream via discord
The Austin Powers movies are fun if you are looking for something light with broad appeal
You can also have a look at what some other watch parties are showing.

You can also use an online service to keep a wish list of films or see other people’s lists. Many people use Letterboxd or Trakt. I’ve just started using the fediverse service NeoDB.

Whiplash and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri are the two best movies I’ve seen in a long long time
Not heard of them thanks mate 👍
While I agree that those are two great movies, you kinda hafta know your audience for them. They aren’t family friendly, but fine for teens and up.
They’re either perfect for group viewing because they are likely to prompt discussion OR a mismatch if the folks just want to zone out to entertainment without thinking about what would happen next, or what should have happened, and so on.
Some random movies I like off the top of my head:
The Princess Bride
Terminator 2
Kate and Leopold
Dogma
Memento
Oculus
Catch Me If You Can
Galaxy Quest
Matchstick Men
Kung Fu Hustle

The Big Lebowski

Die Hard! Of course! Good call
Phantom of the Paradise
