The acting head of WA's Electoral Commission is lauding the recent local council poll as a success, despite reports of missing ballot papers and low voter turnout.

For me, the impression I continually get from my local council is that they may be good people with good intentions and set good policy, but the Operations side of the town just go about doing whatever they want anyway. It doesn’t seem to matter who gets voted onto it, not a lot of visible change.
Oh wow! I mean, i can’t really comment because i don’t understand the history in that situation. But a rogue, and unaccountable public service can’t be a good thing.
Oh yeah, that interview earlier this year was a wild affair! Got in the car and listened to the replay of it morning after and i’s just gobsmacked how off the charts she progressivley got!
