Is hytale not Minecraft?

Oh dang, I got an email from a Minecraft server host about it and kind of put it in the back of my mind that it would be cool to run a server. I was thinking it was a mod pack with something to do with hypixel
It’s effectively Minecraft 2.0 by Hypixel - they wanted something with modding more baked in (for example, enemies are able to be scripted).
