• Yeah. And while Vortex does work on deck/Linux, it’s a royal pain to do, and in my experience you need to install multiple instances of it. I’d love to see them have native support, and make it so I don’t need a different installation in every single wine prefix

For the life of me I could not get vortex to properly work on Bazzite. I know you need to somehow link the nxm handler to wine but fuck that nonsense. Especially when every guide i saw was for mod manager which has a specific nxm handler already they tell you to use. No idea how to find that for vortex specifically.

Anyway, not like I really need vortex, it only makes collections annoying as fuck to get working. Personally I wish nexus would die before forcing even more of their proprietary bullshit down our throats

I just can’t get Vortex to open any links like collections. It was for Schedule 1 so maybe that’s why? I know Vortex has a native Linux app for some games, I think Skyrim is one of them with CP2077

            • Yeah, I couldn’t get it to either. For collections there’s a way to copy the nxm links and paste them into downloads, for individual mods I just download them from the website to either. It’s one of those “It works, just not with all of the features it would have natively” kinda things for me, which I’m fine with for how I use it. I only really use it for skyrim collections xD

This is great news. Hell, just the other day I was trying to mod Megabonk on my Legion Go running SteamOS. I’m sure someone will be able to get Vortex running just fine on it eventually, especially if there’s a native Steam Deck/Machine version.
