Good Charlotte was the first concert I went to (Less Than Jake and MxPx were also there). Imagine my surprise when I realized they still make music, released an album last year, and one of the twins married Cameron Diaz.
The new music does not hit like their early stuff did

So I was thinking by “The Anthem” they meant “Black Parade.”
And so I put it on only to realize I have heard it before, I just like Black Parade more.
They’re not even the same band! 🤦♂️
Speaking as someone who generally attempts to contextualize the morality of people by their era, and additionally acknowledges the validity of art apart from the artist…
