Keen to see what he does with werewolf lore. ETA December 2026.
Werwulf is an upcoming period horror film directed by Robert Eggers, who co-wrote the script with Sjón. The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, and Ralph Ineson. In 13th-century England, a mysterious creature stalks a foggy countryside as local folklore becomes a terrifying reality for the villagers.
I genuinely hope Dafoe plays a frothing skeptic side character who secretly wishes to be a lycan. 🤞🏼
Still my favorite film.
this mf lives deliciously
🤘🏻
If you like this film you should check out an Estonian movie called November. It has similar esoteric folk-horror vibes and aesthetic with a more distinct eastern euro flavour. Absolutely peak movie.
