Been trying out edibles after many years without smoking or consuming weed in any way

First few times I didn’t feel much of anything but yesterday I experienced the most intense full body high ever… Like, only existing felt intensely pleasurable. It’s been almost 24 hours and I still feel a strong “afterglow” physical effect like a tingling sensation dripping down my spine.

Is this what weed’s supposed to be like? it never ever felt this good to me smoking. Yesterday I also experienced zero negative effects, while a joint would regularly get me paranoid, hence my question.

Follow up question for the ladies

Does weed hits you different during different times in your menstrual cycle? Is the effect stronger when you are ovulating for example?

  • edibles used to be my go to. until one time I took one and had the worst green out of my life. I took the same amount as usual, but it felt like I took 10 of them. went back to vaping dry flower or smoking after that. I’m trying to relax, not get blasted into the void dimension. I’ve been way over cautious since then, which kinda ruins the vibe.

    oh, my, yes

I vastly prefer to smoke flower. I get the most high from it, plus I enjoy the taste.

I get practically nothing from eating it, regardless of the form (gummies, brownies, beer, etc.). I asked a doctor once, who explained that it has something to do with the fact that I produce a high amount of stomach acid that breaks it down before it can absorb or something.

I don’t like the high I get from vaping it, and I requires a lot more to get the same level of high that I get from flower, which makes it cost 3-5x as much, so I consider it a spectacular waste of money, too.

but everyone’s different, so go with what works for you!
