If we stopped cold turkey today I was under the impression it’s gonna get even worse anyways from lag time of the consequences of what we’ve already polluted. Smoke for the rest of my summer days, correct me if I’m wrong.

    • Wish you were wrong.

It’s depressing how few people know that. Like you think it’s bad, it’s going to get worse your whole life even if we stop everything today, now.

I think it’s maybe too scary of a verified truth for many people to even register. Like most people’s brains are protecting them by blocking them from understanding it.

It would be a bit like stopping smoking. We’d see some improvements almost straight away, as someone mentioned, look back at the covid lockdowns, but there would also be slower responding, longer term, benefits. The sooner we start, the sooner we get there, and you might not have smoky summers for the rest of your days.
