Depends on the thing. Growing up it was standard in my house to lie and cheat our way through boardgames, you only lost if you got caught.

Our yearly Christmas settlers of catan game is downright cutthroat.

I am incredibly competitive, and funny enough I get it from my mom. I remember really having to learn how to control myself growing up, crying at mini golf because I’m 8 and sucked lol.

The rest of our family has banned us from competing against each other after she spiked the Wii remote into the ground from playing Mario Kart against me.

We try and do more cooperative activities now a days lol.

I wouldnt say I am competitive but I do enjoy competing still, especially team based stuff. But i can also get frustrated if im continually failing something, but thats more about me and dragging someone else down than beating an opponent

The only time I get remotely competitive is when playing EDH. Even then, I don’t necessarily have to win to have fun, I’m ok with 2nd place, but I’ll fight to get there. Other than that, I’m not really competitive at all.

I can get intensely competitive in certain games, but I tend to be pretty relaxed and uncompetitive otherwise. A video game shows a scoreboard at the end and I enjoy that game? I’ll be putting what feels like countless hours into it, grinding, learning and figuring out what it takes to claim one of the top spots.

Depends on the situation. Around friends and family I’ve very competitive. I grew up playing competitive sports. But if it’s something I don’t care about (my job trying to foster a competitive spirit for team building) I try to not participate.
