Welcome to the 25th writing club update! 😊
I hope you’ve all found some nice cozy spots in the shade, to do some creative thinking or writing. Or perhaps some of you have been taking a break, there’s nothing wrong with that either!
The usual info about how this writing club update works:
To anyone stumbling upon this post and wondering about the rules – there really aren’t any! This is a club for mostly the same regulars and semi-regulars, but visitors are encouraged to comment on writing updates or share their own. The main idea is to set a goal for yourself and try to achieve it by the next month’s update. :)
Feel free to comment and tell us how things are going for you, regarding writing, creative works, and everything related!

Late as always, but not missing! I see there’s a bunch of newcomers with a wild variety of projects, and that’s great to see! 😁
I’ve just completed the first draft of Kanteletar’s Section C, and what a struggle it has been 🥵 For the newcomers: I’m writing a solarpunk novel that follows five hundred years of history, from 2067 to 26th Century. Five Sections with five different stories across time. Now I’ll let it rest for a couple weeks and then jump into revision and translation. Three down, two more to go.
Also! I had not meant to participate, but I inadvertently ended up writing a story that sort of fit the Protopian Prize (which I found out from Karl Schroeder), so I sent it! No high hopes, since it might not quite fit the theme, but I’m proud of that story and I’ll definitely try to send it somewhere else.
Always wonderful to hear how things are going with you! I’m glad it seems like you’ve kept up your good work and keep making progress. I think you and a Jacobcoffinwrites have the most explicitly solarpunk writing practices! Love to see it.
Congratulations on submitting your work. That’s such a milestone for many writers and you’ve been quite good at hitting it repeatedly. Truly inspirational!
