My copium is that they’re not releasing the Steam Frame because they’re finishing HL3 which will be a launch title, playable in VR or flat.
Given what a banger HL: Alyx was - definitely the best VR title that I played, at least - that would be incredibly hype. Heck, I’d just take HL: Alyx 2.
Or they’re just fighting to get Alyx to run directly on the headset because of course everyone will try to do that despite any warnings.
I gave up hope when Marc Laidlaw posted his story treatment years ago. It might come some day, but it will be something closer to a reboot or a remake, a totally new generation’s take on an old franchise. Not saying that it will automatically be bad, it could be good, but it will also be different.
Here is my list:
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Part 2
Prey 2
Dishonored 3
Prey (2009)
Perfect Dark Remake
Metal Gear Rising 2 (c’mon it’s easy money)
I would add Bloodborne remake but we have it at home already
Deus Ex MD would have been nice without, you know, EA.
Seeing Deus Ex 3 and Prey 2 hurt my soul
Bahahaha, savage. 🤣
Right, because Boromir went to the alternate future where Valve continued making games… rather than just selling everyone else’s.
If capitalism taught us anything, it’s that middle-manning is the most efficient way to make money for doing basically nothing. 🤢
You know they are making Dealock, made CS2 in 2023 and are doing major updates there?
Not my field; really only interested in single-player games… like Half-Life and Portal. And gacha games are straight out.
Based.
There is more than enough proof that HLX exists in a polished state at the Valve offices, it’s just a matter of getting them to acknowledge it/let it out into the world.
I wonder if they’re waiting for the release of the steam frame. That would be a very valve thing to do, release the product without telling anybody about it hiding it behind the release of another product.
