I have gone back and forth with if I like that this community is for politics anywhere.
Ultimately, as an American, I’ve been liking it - it gives me perspective on other countries and shows how possible solutions might succeed or fail. Also, Count Binhead.
Anyways, it’d be nice if posts contextualize. Requiring at a minimum country. If we’re talking about The Zodiac Killer Ted Cruz, then it should be “Texas, USA Politician Flies to Cancun to avoid constituency”
Out of curiosity, why? Would it be better as a not required, but encouraged, flair?
I prefer gentler hands guiding discussion rather than rigid requirements.
If flair was available on lemmy, it would be nice as an option, especially if other users could suggest it.
We don’t have the ability to have flair here nor any other type of labeling.
Could it be recommended that users include location in their post title then?
A lot of regional news sites don’t make clear where the news is happening in their headlines, or even articles, because they’re a regional site that serve a region. Those sites then are even more unclear where theyre talking about when they use a generic nickname like “Tristate” or “Windy City” or whatever to name their news source.
I, sincerely, doubt any moderator or administrator would be willing to do this.
