Nothing Soraya and friends’ do, comes from a good place.
When laws are passed to keep public authorites’ feelings from getting hurt, it doesn’t come from a good place. This is the mildest form of holding the authorities accountable.
Couldn’t you just aggressively compliment someone? Do they have sarcasm in Canada? Then they can start evaluating intent, maybe sone kind of thought police? Grammaton Clerics?
It gets trickier than that… an insult in French might be an innocent remark in English and vice versa.
