Bold of them to assume the US is going to have electricity in 2030.

I mean there is a non zero chance china invades the USA and has to rebuild the mess importing Chinese cars and solar panels.

There is also non zero chance that the us does it to itself in a civil war and petrol becomes too expensive compared to solar in the aftermath.

Also a non zero chance the us sees the damage they have done to thier world wide reputation and tries to undo the damage as best they can by trying to meat climate goals

But yea realistically I’d bet on coal burning subs in 2030 after this November as the us public can’t do anything good for it’s own self interest and the orange turd will mandate something like that as I think he’s a captain planet villain

Why would China want to invade a country addicted to giving them money for their crap products?

The rich people mostly have solar already, but their gonna have to figure out how to get their inverters to turn on without a line signal (for the majority that don’t have batteries anyway).

August 2026, 38% of cars sold were electric in France.

That’s today people, it will come to where you live too!

I can’t express how glad I am by reading that line.

I work with people that are constantly parroting EVs are not taking off anywhere besides my own country (Portugal) and one of them has family and travels often to France and always says the french are not buying into the EVs scam.

      Gets tiresome.

Are the car competitive? Dacia has been showcasing a few fully electric models here but the bulk of the EVs I’m seeing are mostly from Tesla, Volvo, Polestar, MG, KIA and Hyundai. I’ve even seen a fully electric Jaguar SUV. Most of these cars are in the higher price tier.

I wouldn’t go as far as saying the people are gaslighted as they are just being averse to change. I’ll concede that much.

But in France the government supports EVs. In US, they would ban them if it weren’t for Tesla.

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we’ll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.
