The entire war is simply a purge of minorities, the poor, the sick, and the marginalized. Population reduction is the goal and will be continued as long as the government feels like it has extra people to feed.
If they marched them into gas chambers the world would scream about genocide, but if you give them a gun and march them to certain death it’s just a special military action and everyone turns out their pockets for more guns.
Precisely… which is why mowing down endless wave after endless wave of “russian” soldiers will not win the war alone, the russian ruling class fatally believes we are doing a service for them and that we make them stronger by killing their poor for them. This is why Ukraine getting good at encircling and capturing massive amounts of russian frontline soldiers alive is crucial, all of a sudden the people russia has written off dead at someone else’s expense are not dead and still very much have a voice about the future they want which radically may not include war.
Russia is not expecting nor can it defend from this angle of attack and there could be no greater threat to the continued ceaseless operation of russian the death cult machine than undeniable evidence of living alternatives for russia’s sacrificial peasant class.
