An article by Richard Silverstein on October 11, 2026 says there are two parallel coups in US and Israel. In US, a deep state coup wants to destroy democracy. Christian nationalism and oligarchic capitalism drive it. In Israel, Tikvah Fund is deep state funding far-right coup. Tikvah is US Jewish foundation with $90 million in assets. Elliot Abrams chairs its board. Abrams was convicted for lying to Congress during Iran-Contra. He urged Mahmoud Abbas to launch coup against Hamas after 2006 elections. Trump named him special envoy to Venezuela before he tried to overthrow Maduro. Abrams supports regime change in Iran. US fundraising affiliate is American Friends of Israeli Liberty. It has $5 million in assets. It is US affiliate for Herut: Center for Israeli Liberty. Herut endorses Jewish exceptionalism. Through Kohelet Policy Forum, Tikvah tried to destroy Israeli judiciary. This was called judicial coup. Tikvah funds think tanks and trains young people. It places them in judiciary, army, Shin Bet, police. Their goal is to destroy secular state and replace it with theocratic state, they hold Kahanist views. They want to eliminate Palestinians through genocidal violence or ethnic cleansing. They want expansion and wars against neighbors, including Jordan and Egypt. They want Biblical kingdom from Euphrates to Gaza. Tikvah funds Kohelet, Misgav Institute, Israel Law and Liberty Forum, Jewish Statesmanship Center, Shibolet and Sella Meir publishing, Argaman Institute, and Churchill Program. It gave $10 million between 2024 and 2025. The article says MAGA and Tikvah influence each other. They want to change democracy into autocracy. They are influenced by Viktor Orban. Kohelet and US Federalist Society have similar goals. Tikvah created Herut to hide from unpopularity. Herut trains Israeli army officers. Argaman Institute runs Churchill Program. It trains future leaders like ministerial advisers, senior Israeli army reserve officers, legal professionals, and Prime Minister’s Office staff. One example is Israeli army general David Zini. Netanyahu appointed him to head Shin Bet. Zini said Palestinians pose divine existential threat and our enemies are enemies of Holy One. The article calls him brutal and genocidal. A document called The Paradigm Project says peace is not strategic goal. Israel must be proactive and seek decisive victory. It must expand ground forces and create long-term buffer zones. It must prepare to fight on several fronts, including deep maneuvers hundreds of kilometers from Israel’s borders. Egypt and Jordan could become adversaries and should be treated as potential threats. The document proposes voluntary transfer of Palestinians: half a million leave in first decade, another 250,000 next. The article says this is ethnic cleansing. It would make Israel pure Jewish state. The document says to cover defense costs, cut social programs, public-sector jobs, salaries, National Insurance, education, and culture. The article calls this let them eat missiles. It says Israel should adopt new ethical code for Israeli army based on national moral framework, not universalist.
