UWP looks like it still isn’t supported, which is probably the main blocker on Linux. That’s a Wine level feature, though, and likely requires a huge amount of work for only a relatively small amount of games.
Forza Horizon 3 is probably the only game from the UWP era I care about, though.
Forza Horizon 3
FH3 was the only game I ever bought on the Xbox App and it stopped working for me after a year so I ended up having to grab a cracked copy anyway. Was all back when I still used Windows.
Sunset Overdrive for me! Though I believe it got a Steam release so it’s less relevant to this issue

It certainly did, and it was one of the earlier games to work great with DXVK/Proton.
This will be hill climb racing in 2016
I don’t understand the point of this. You can’t use PC game pass to play any Xbox exclusives, and everything else is already available on PC.
People have wanted game pass on steamOS for a long time, a lot of people are already paying for it, and want to be able to play those games without buying it again.
Of course game pass isn’t as good of a deal as it used to be, so the demand is smaller now.
Good points. Thank you for clarifying!
Too little too late; this would’ve been great back when I first switched to Linux but now it’s a shitty deal.
