I mean it could be her parents lack of acceptence of her being trans but in some arab countries it is not only legal to be trans, they even apply the same insane rules to you as cis women which is a veeeery strange form of validation. Iran pays for transition surgery. However, there is still massive discrimination.
Also only for binary trans women in some circumstances. Trans men and nonbinary people do not get theirs paid for.
