We have a much more influential oligarch class in Canada and the US than Putin. His influence doesn’t even register. Pointing to Putin is major misdirection from the main actors. Our political right wing and its shadier outshoots didn’t appear when Putin got in power. They’re a fundamental part of our system that needs constant management.
