(un)fun fact: pretty much every bill that tries to limit or ban trans healthcare on the ground that it’s “mutilation” explicitly carves out exceptions for genital mutilation of intersex children
because it’s never about preventing abuse of children (surprise surprise), it’s about forcing everyone into pericishet boxes through violence
do they not carve out exceptions for amab infant genital mutilation too or do they think its so normal and expected they dont bother to include it?
My wife and I had to explicitly say we didn’t want our son circumsized on at least 10 different occasions before we left the hospital to go home with him.
Feel like that should more opt in than opt out!
