I swear so much tf art and stories have the characters look terrified, and focus on the process of changing more than the finished state.

But you’re TFing me to the wrong species! I wanted to be a horse, or maybe a wolf, not … not a damn lemur! The hell am I going to do as a Lemur, star in a reboot of Zaboomafoo? Also, all this fur growing out of my skin is itchy as fuck!

    Anyway, lol…

so much tf art and stories have the characters look terrified,

For many, that’s part of the fetish. Consider it adjacent to rape fetish. It’s hotter if the TF ‘victim’ doesn’t enjoy it and isn’t into it … at least at first. Especially if you then contrast that with them being very into it after they experience what their new body can do.

focus on the process of changing more than the finished state.

That’s just what you’re going to get from TF art.

Art of the finished state is just … regular furry art. Plenty of that all over the place (though always nice to have more). That’s why people focusing on TF in particular will mostly focus on the transformation itself: that’s the only part that actually has TF in it.

You can totally write comics and stories where they are transformed most of the time. It does happen, but rarely I think.

Actually could mostly think about mass tf where the first TFees are an object or animal for most of the story.

But I’ve defiritely read a story where the main character is a horse most of the time. That one battling with instincts and ultimately getting castrated. Another where the main character is underwear most of the time. This one lost control and ended up with wrong owner.

For me the process is the interesting thing. A bunch of tf is also degradation and such and not meant to be enjoyable. Although I’ve seen rare stories where a voluntary tf just didn’t turn out like expected

TF is also regular body horror. Even those who like it often got inspired by these depictions in mainstream media
