This is what Americans are and always have been. They just took off the mask to show us all their true face.
There’s no going back to what we considered normal.
I don’t think it’s even a mask off issue. This is the America we’ve always known, Trump just lets us separate.
We have always been an exception, exempt from their assholery because the people in charge we smart enough to understand the economic importance of having barrier free access to our resources.
Not exempt, just under their oppression.
Most of them still haven’t realized that people here are genuinely pissed off at their government’s actions. They are rudely dismissive and people here know it. Most of us don’t have the option to go somewhere else and start fresh. We have to deal with their BS regardless of how much it sucks right now.
When you’re left bitter like that, you’re not in a fun and forgiving mood afterwards.
