Hello Comrades, I am reaching out to the community because we urgently need financial support to winterize our mobile home before the freezing weather hits. We are a small family living in Hungary: an 83-year-old elderly mother who uses a walking frame, her 60-year-old daughter living with a progressive autoimmune illness that prevents her from working, and our beloved dachshund dog, Bogi. This is going to be our very first winter in this mobile home. It is our safe haven, but in its current state, it is not equipped to withstand the cold. The underside of the home is completely exposed, and it rests on wooden supports. Without proper insulation, our pipes will freeze, and keeping the home warm will be financially and physically impossible for us. We are asking for mutual aid to fund the essential materials and urgent works: • Insulating the underbelly of the mobile home and protecting the plumbing from freezing. • Assessing and reinforcing the supports of the home. • Ensuring the structure can retain heat so my elderly mother, myself, and our dog Bogi can stay safe and warm. Our small, fixed income covers only our bare necessities and medical needs, leaving us with absolutely no savings to manage this critical winter preparation on our own.
