Really hoping to see support for more of this style of development in the SF Bay Area. The Sunset District is notoriously low density and has been pretty NIMBY when it comes to building anything new in the area.

  • What a well-written article. Denser high-quality multi-use zoning is needed. However I worry our abysmal transportation infrastructure won’t keep up. Down here in the South Bay plenty of apartment buildings have gone up these past few years, but as a result traffic is slowly getting worse. It’s becoming real tedious to get anywhere. And yet hardly anything (some, but not enough) is improving for bicycles, pedestrians or public transportation. Even the roads around here suck :(
