What Peertube instance or accounts to follow? @fediverse
What are your recommendations to have funny or interesting video content on Fediverse. Preferably on peertube.
dashbuck ( @dashbuck@lemmy.ml ) 7•2 years agoI like tilvids.com.
thelinuxexperiment_channel is my fav. on this.
I also enjoy watching Drew Devault’s videos.
All of these are tech related though.
UnelectedReimu ( @UnelectedReimu@lemmy.ml ) 4•2 years agodefinitely have to endorse the Linux Experiment’s channel, nick definitely has the most sane linux channel out there lol
!ozoned@lemmy.world ( @ozoned@beehaw.org ) 3•2 years agoSecond tilvids. Tons of great content on there.
Garrathian ( @Garrathian@beehaw.org ) 1•2 years agoIs there any way to subscribe to content creators on tilvids from my lemmy instance? Just out of curiosity
!ozoned@lemmy.world ( @ozoned@beehaw.org ) 1•2 years agoThe Fediverse is all connected. So there should be a way. I’m not familiar with Lemmy enough to know for sure. Maybe ask in the beehaw support?
Strypey ( @strypey@mastodon.nzoss.nz ) 1•2 years ago@Garrathian
> Is there any way to subscribe to content creators on tilvids from my lemmy instance?A PeerTube video channel is an ActivityPub Actor, just like a Mastodon account is an AP Actor. Each channel has a #fediverse address; @channel@peertube-instance.foo, so if you can follow a Mastodon account from within Lemmy, you ought to be able to follow a PeerTube channel, or any other fediverse Actor. YMMV ; )
caos (moved to Sharkey) 🚀 ( @caos@metalhead.club ) 6•2 years ago@dragnucs Whew, that depends a lot on your own interests, of course. For searching for content on #Peertube, there is a meta-search engine called #Sepiasearch : https://sepiasearch.org/
@fediverse@caos @fediverse I like to watch technology, bird keeping and breeding, and comedy. By comedy I mean memes, funny short videos, or even elaborate sketches. Or stuff like this: https://piped.video/watch?v=GUl9_5kK9ts
AJ Sadauskas ( @ajsadauskas@aus.social ) 4•2 years ago@dragnucs @fediverse A strong recommendation from me is https://urbanists.video. Basically, it’s a PeerTube instance dedicated to Urbanism, urban planning, cycling, public transport, walkable neighbourhoods, and similar topics.
If sustainability in the built environment is your thing, it’s definitely worth checking out.
dashbuck ( @dashbuck@lemmy.ml ) 1•2 years agoThanks for sharing this. I found this concept interesting recently.
RadDevon ( @RadDevon@lemmy.ml ) 2•2 years agoIf you’re interested in urbanism, this could be a good instance for you: https://urbanists.video/
McSinyx ( @cnx@slrpnk.net ) 2•2 years agoI like @art.sommerwolke.com@tube.tchncs.de (painting) and @liveitlive@video.liveitlive.show (concert).
Jay Baker (he/they) ( @MediaActivist@lemmy.ml ) 1•2 years agoKolektiva.media “A collective effort to offer video hosting to anarchist collectives and individuals federated with the PeerTube network. Registrations are open, but you need to write us with why you want a Kolektiva.media account at kolektiva@riseup.net”
