You make it hard for me to choose.
Try the first one! If you don’t like it, start from the top and go down the list again!
- AvailableFill74 ( @AvailableFill74@lemmy.ml ) 7•1 year ago
Infinity for reddit mentioned trying to keep developing and if they can’t get API access, they said pivoting to a lemmy client is on the table. They posted this in their sub on reddit.
Exciting since I infinity for reddit is a fdroid only client that rawks!
- can ( @can@beehaw.org ) 9•1 year ago
Sync dev is weighing their options too.
- ayyndrew ( @ayyndrew@lemmy.world ) 6•1 year ago
Sync for Lemmy would be amazing
- can ( @can@beehaw.org ) 1•1 year ago
I would gladly alpha test and pay for Pro again.
- ericflo ( @ericflo@lemmy.ml ) 1•1 year ago
Agreed - I really underestimated how much I had gotten used to that UI. Would love to keep using it or something like it on the Fediverse!
- toyoguru ( @JarekLB@lemmy.zip ) 4•1 year ago
I absolutely love the sync app, I really hope he decides to make an app for Lemmy.
- can ( @can@beehaw.org ) 1•1 year ago
I’ve been hoping and checking his patreon periodically.
- Generator ( @Generator@lemmy.pt ) 5•1 year ago
Also RedReader
My long-term vision for RedReader is to restructure the app to more easily support other sites, including Lemmy, and perhaps others such as Tild.es and Hacker News. Before the API changes were announced, I was already considering adding RSS reader functionality to the app, and I think it would be cool to work with some kind of “open forum protocol” which would allow a variety of websites and apps to interoperate with each other through a uniform API.

Infinity is the sole reason i use reddit anyway. I love that app, if they made it for lemmy… <3
- Ahmed ( @Ahmed@lemmy.world ) 25•1 year ago
We should have Sync for Lemmy!!
- SeeleLowe ( @SeeleLowe@lemmy.world ) 14•1 year ago
The dev is actually considering it! I certainly hope he finds the time too.
- doctor_han ( @doctor_han@lemmy.ca ) 10•1 year ago
Would love to see 3rd party reddit apps migrating to Lemmy platform at some point.
- CaptManiac ( @CaptManiac@lemmy.sdf.org ) 6•1 year ago
Relay for Lemmy would really make my year.
- Yardman876 ( @yardman876@mastodon.social ) 2•1 year ago
@CaptManiac it definitely would.
- lalay721 ( @lalay721@feddit.it ) 4•1 year ago
Same, I’m especially hoping to see Infinity for Lemmy someday.
- AvailableFill74 ( @AvailableFill74@lemmy.ml ) 0•1 year ago
They recently mentioned perhaps pivoting to lemmy if they cant figure out the API issue. Exciting times and they posted it in their sub
- heimchen ( @heimchen@discuss.tchncs.de ) 1•1 year ago
Ohh, that sounds exciting, do you have a Link to this statement?
- LiGuangming1981 ( @LiGuangming1981@lemmy.ca ) 5•1 year ago
That would be great. It would make leaving Reddit for Lemmy that much easier. Sync was also my preferred way to browse Reddit and I’ll miss it.
- ConditionOverload ( @ConditionOverload@lemmy.world ) 1•1 year ago
I’ve posted multiple comments on the sync subreddit that the dev should make an app for this. I’d gladly pay again for that kind of an app.
- AvailableFill74 ( @AvailableFill74@lemmy.world ) 17•1 year ago
Doesn’t a list of apps imply more than one?
Still nice to have the links to download from.
Sorry, just used to Reddit where titles cannot be edited. So I anticipated for the future.
- SeeleLowe ( @SeeleLowe@lemmy.world ) 6•1 year ago
Wait, you can edit the title on Lemmy?!
Ya! Not sure if it’s because I am a mod, or if it’s universal. I haven’t posted outside of a community I don’t mod yet. Either way, it’s really nice.
- can ( @can@beehaw.org ) 1•1 year ago
Pretty sure it’s universal.
- nodiet ( @nodiet@feddit.de ) 12•1 year ago
Wow I was going to comment that lemmur is another android app for Lemmy but then I realised it was shut down in February. Does anyone know what the “political differences” are that are cited as one of the reasons for the discontinuation?
- poVoq ( @poVoq@slrpnk.net ) 12•1 year ago
I don’t know the exact motivations of the Lemmur developer, but 2022 surfaced a lot of community break-points here and it is no secret that the main Lemmy developers at least tolerate if not partially endorse some pretty insufferable people on the Lemmy instances they run.
- SeeleLowe ( @SeeleLowe@lemmy.world ) 3•1 year ago
For those of us who are new here, can you elaborate?
- poVoq ( @poVoq@slrpnk.net ) 5•1 year ago
Lemmygrad.ml is all I need to say 😑
- SeeleLowe ( @SeeleLowe@lemmy.world ) 4•1 year ago
That actually just raised more questions lol
- jherazob ( @jherazob@beehaw.org ) 1•1 year ago
Here you go, it isn’t pretty
- Sponholz ( @Sponholz@lemmy.ml ) 8•1 year ago
Jerboa is ok so far, using it, but it really need a way to set the font size separately, one setting for the main feed/list, and other for the post/comment.
When I set the font to 12 for example, the text of the post/comments is perfect. But the main feed becomes too small.
- Isotretinoin ( @Isotretinoin@lemmy.ml ) 4•1 year ago
on fdroid, there is also an app called lemmur https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.krawieck.lemmur/
That app isn’t maintained anymore, unfortunately.
Hopefully someone will fork it, now that there’s a huge surge in growth.
- AccurstDemon ( @AccurstDemon@sopuli.xyz ) 3•1 year ago
This project is not maintained anymore :(
- kryostar ( @kryostar@beehaw.org ) 1•1 year ago
It looks great but doesn’t work because it’s not maintained. Cannot add any instances.
- me1213 ( @me1213@lemmy.ml ) 3•1 year ago
