Local constituency, politicians, bureaucrats, big asphalt, and Ford all agreed that this is something that makes sense and we should build, as humans, to enhance our community.

johnthedoe ( @johnthedoe@kbin.social ) 5•2 years agoWhat they really need is just one more lane to solve this whole mess.
jeff ( @Yazee@beehaw.org ) English3•2 years agoWhat is it
Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway, 50 lanes across
agarorn ( @agarorn@feddit.de ) English6•2 years agoThe expressway is not 50 lanes. This is probably a toll boot. You can see that you have way fewer lane after that or in the other direction.
jeff ( @Yazee@beehaw.org ) English5•2 years agoDoesn’t look very “express”.
Provenscroll ( @Provenscroll@sh.itjust.works ) English2•2 years agoThis is not an expressway, it seems to be a toll booth or a border crossing
Bloodwoodsrisen ( @Bloodwoodsrisen@lemmy.tf ) English1•2 years agoIf you look at the location from like, a maps app or something, you can see that it starts at like 10 lane or something, widens, then goes back to the original lane size

jonne ( @jonne@infosec.pub ) English1•2 years agoIsn’t this in China though? I don’t think Ford or big oil have much sway over the Chinese government. They managed to come up with this monstrosity all without lobbying and industry pressure.
