I’ve been playing a ton of WoH (Early Access) and each content update, while lengthy considering it’s an extremely small team, bring new content which changes a lot of the gameplay.

Are there jump scares? I love horror games that are tense and creepy, but I cannot handle jumpscares so this would determine if I give it a shot.

Light jumpscares, i’d say.
I’m a huge baby myself, when it comes to jumpscares. There’s an option called ‘creepy neighbor’ which disables the chance for a jumpscare if you alt-tab out and in.
There’s some other things in the same that might pop up on screen, like when you take damage from some events, and some sounds; but it’s all presented in a 1-bit pixel style, so it’s not as scary as it would look. The horror mainly comes from the Junji Ito/Lovecraft inspired art and story.
I’m super-excited for actual release, though.
