I hope you can zoom out the camera though… The game looks a little cramped.

I don’t think we’ll be able to zoom out the cam except for in predetermined areas :/ I feel like it’s not easy to implement while not breaking level design.
It really is a level design thing. Half the challenge of reactionary play in classic 2D sonic games is not being able to see what’s coming until the last minute. Looks pretty nice overall. Looking forward to it.

We present 10 minutes of game footage a new 2D sonic title “Sonic Superstars”, the footage featuring two stages including boss battles.
Sonic Superstars is not a direct sequel to Sonic Mania, but a new sidescrolling Sonic game of its own.
This is planned to release Fall 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
Seems Interesting but the music reminds me a lot of Sonic 4…
