I hope we do more stuff like this. Rent is getting absolutely outrageous. Nobody my age will ever own a home full stop if nothing changes.

My street of about 20 houses had 5 evictions this year so far. Half the neighborhood is owned by random LLCs. It’s such a shame how quickly people get priced out.

Society is 3 meals away from collapse at any given time, if they keep it up we’ll hit a breaking point.

Good, but when are they going to get on with building more housing? We wouldn’t need rent control if there wasn’t a housing shortage.

Any time this comes up, you always get the inevitable posters arguing of “how actually rent control is bad for the economy…”
Would these same people like to explain how people spending all their disposable income on rent, or rents going up 50% or more a year is also good for the economy?
