How is the cost of living in Hongkong these days? I’ll be visiting later this summer and wondering how much cash to bring. Accomodation is paid for so would need money for food, transportation, and any visits for museums. I’ve been to HK before so have done most of the touristy things already. Thanks!

HK has a huge range of cost. If you are ok taking public transport, and eating normal food, you can get by easily on 40-50 USD per day.
If you want to get fancy, go to swanky bars, the sky is the limit.
Just the MTR is good for me, no bars. Is there a week pass with the octopus card? I couldn’t find info online.

I would stick to single-ride tickets on the Octopus card. They’re pretty cheap at around 1-2 USD per single ride.
Do check out some of the mall food courts though, they are legit for “cheap eats”
will do thanks! i’m craving sun hing so planning to at least be there fairly often

Only a day pass, which isn’t that good of a deal unless you’re visiting multiple HK districts in a day.

looks like i’ll get all my walking steps in!
