Hi everyone!
First of all, welcome!
This is my first time moderating a community, so there will likely be some issues to iron out shortly, especially if we get more people over from Reddit - please be patient as we work out these changes.
In addition, I’ve just copied over the r/dndmemes rules to the sidebar - these might go through some changes in the coming days, but for now please try to abide by them as-is.
Also, I’m looking for moderators! If you are interested in being a mod, DM me.
Katt ( @Katt@lemmy.world ) English4•2 years agoI may have broken a rule without thinking … Sorry. Reposting old memes from reddits dndmemes isn’t allowed according to the rules in the sidebar? I was trying to create content to browse, to get the ball rolling. Should I remove my posts?
Milez_W ( @Milez_W@sh.itjust.works ) English3•2 years agoDon’t trust me completely, but it says !DnDMemes and not r/DnDMemes so I think you’re in the clear. Again, don’t take my word for it as I’m only 90% sure but I feel thats how it works.
Reposting from r/dndmemes is fine! Happy to get the extra content
Stoneykins ( @Stoneykins@beehaw.org ) English4•2 years agoI’m glad I’m finding new versions of the communities I liked from reddit so much.
The more places like this exist, the less I even care that reddit is gone. Reddit was only useful as a path to you fine people.
Nice of you to take initiative like this. I’m still reeling from the shock of the lack of memes.
Milez_W ( @Milez_W@sh.itjust.works ) English2•2 years agoso no snitties memes?
Not unless they’re explicitly related to D&D, are tagged NSFW, are not low-effort, and have no actual porn (since that’s banned instance-wide on sh.itjust.works).
Milez_W ( @Milez_W@sh.itjust.works ) English1•2 years agoah okay
SharkLazerBoy ( @SharkLazerBoy@sh.itjust.works ) English2•2 years agoThis site is very different from Reddit. (ok, I mean not polar opposites, but you know what I’m trying to say)
Milez_W ( @Milez_W@sh.itjust.works ) English2•2 years agoIt’s a good kind of different though. Reddit doesn’t allow users this much control. That’s the difference between using social media (Twitter, tumblr, Facebook), forums (Reddit) and the fediverse (Here)
