Dumb little first post but I’ve been told it’s kind of shit this year. Apparently you have to pay a fee for some of it? What the fuck is this unaustralian shit, anyone been and can verify/falsify this? I remember being at the first one and it was honestly lovely, it was a nice little sonilumiere type deal.

Trying not to lurk here so here it goes. Went on the first Friday night and we enjoyed it. 2 adults and 2 primary aged kids. If you do the suggested walk it’s about 8k so plan accordingly. The bit through the piers under the bridge was a bit lite on lights I thought but Barangaroo had plenty. The only paid bits were the gardens (which was a shame as it was good last time we went) and the Wynyard tunnels which you have to book. Only other downside is the drone show is only on some days so we missed that. All up had a good night and the kids enjoyed it.

I’ll be going in a few weeks, haven’t been before. Commenting now for an anchor to return to and update. Yeah some parts like the botanical gardens need a paid ticket.
Edit: circular quay was so packed, the streets were mayhem.

Going to see the drone show tonight. Hopefully it’s not too packed.

Nah. Not going to pay a fee, so not going.
