This is some bullshit

So from my understanding, corporate is saying that their policy is still the same, and the union is saying branch owners are disallowing pride decorations? After Target caved to right wing terrorism, this sucks.
Starbucks Workers United said baristas in at least 22 states have reported instances where district and store managers have told them they can’t decorate for Pride month or where store representatives have taken down Pride flags.
Yes you understood it exactly right.

If, as Starbucks claims, this is, at most, happening at the store/district levels, they need to own that narrative.

You know Starbucks has a habit of treating their unionized and unionizing stores bad when the stockholders think they are too anti-union. Starbucks shareholders seek input on labor rights review

Starbucks has repeatedly shown they are purely profit driven, they don’t care about their employees or customer’s, only the value for their shareholders.
Workers rights, are human rights; just as LGBTQ+ rights are human rights. They have internally decided that “rainbow washing” is not a profit driver this year, so franchises can take the heat on their own. They will “insert Corp speak for discuss” supporting the rainbow issue again in a few years when there is no downside in pretending to care.
