MishMash ( @Mishmash@lemmy.world ) English11•2 years agoJust to preface for everyone, the app has only been in development for a little over a month and is very barebones. Don’t expect even some of the most basic features out the gate and frequent crashes. It will be interesting to see how it matures and develops over time.
StarManta ( @StarManta@lemmy.world ) English6•2 years agoI’m testing Mlem and Memmy, so far I am preferring Memmy for stability and a slightly better UX.
ifDogsCouldTalk ( @ifDogsCouldTalk@lemmy.world ) English2•2 years agoCan you share the app link. Not finding in the App Store.
wheels ( @wheels@lemmy.world ) English3•2 years ago lackthought ( @lackthought@lemmy.sdf.org ) English2•2 years agoit’s in test flight, there is a post here in apple (can’t seem to share from the app yet)
vinniep ( @vinniep@beehaw.org ) English1•2 years agoMemmy
Do you have a link to Memmy? I’ve not come across it in my searches.
themz ( @themz@lemmy.world ) English1•2 years agoAnother advantage of Memmy is that its icon isn’t a cartoon koala ahegao face.
Dui ( @Dui@lemmy.world ) English5•2 years agoI cannot seem to search for subs on Mlem? What am I doing wrong?
aponigricon ( @aponigricon@beehaw.org ) English5•2 years agoIt works the same as Apollo. You have to tap the text at the very top of the screen (be it the current community name, “All Posts”, “Subscribed”, etc.) and then you should be able to search for any communities tracked in the cache of your instance.
Projectionist ( @Projectionist@beehaw.org ) English1•2 years agoI just had to check. I don’t think I’ve ever once used that search in Apollo. The reason it’s unintuitive in mlem is that in Apollo it automatically brings up the keyboard and places the text insertion cursor. In mlem, it takes an extra tap with no ui indication.
aponigricon ( @aponigricon@beehaw.org ) English1•2 years agoThat’s a detail I agree should be added. On the other hand, the whole concept is, I believe, compliant and recommended by Apple’s official HIG.
beek ( @beek@beehaw.org ) English1•2 years agoI’ve been using it happily since making the switch. It certainly has a ways to go to be complete and bug-free, but it’s a fantastic start!
