Anyone out there excited or dreading the conversion to NACS? It seems like most major automakers in NA have committed to moving over from CCS.

  • I would suggest that auto makers provide adapters to owners of vehicles still using CCS. They won’t, but it would be nice.

To have a reliable standard would mean crossing the next big hurdle for mass adoption. Charging is a mess right now and that steers people away. I say bring it on!

  • I don’t really care what standard we use as long as we pick one!

The NACS physical connector is definitely sleeker, and it sounds like it uses the CCS protocols anyway. I just hope that drivers of older Chevy/Ford vehicles either get an adapter or retrofit kit.
