Welcome to the Weekly Discussion! This is a place where you can do general chat in the community for things that might not deserve their own post
Ategon ( @Ategon@programming.dev ) English4•1 year agoWould it make sense to switch these to be weekly discussions and then just have them pinned for a week? At the activity level right now having them daily might drown out other posts
Update: Edited the title to be weekly
Suppoze ( @Suppoze@beehaw.org ) English3•1 year agoI think it would make sense to scale down the frewuency for now. Thank you for the effort you are putting in this community
Queen Of Squiggles ( @QueenOfSquiggles@lemmy.blahaj.zone ) English2•1 year agoI like weekly stuff a lot better. I’m not usually on every day so I tend to miss stuff that’s particular to a single day
Ategon ( @Ategon@programming.dev ) English2•1 year agoJust so you guys know im coding a second bot for the instance. This one is going to auto post new things from the godot blog (and then pin it for a week if its a new release)
Aiming to get it done tonight so that it posts the next godot update
Ategon ( @Ategon@programming.dev ) English2•1 year agoAlso if anyone knows of any other rss feeds to post for any of the game dev communities let me know
analisys ( @analisys@beehaw.org ) English2•1 year agoDo you think there’s any chance for advance converter of Godot 3 projects to 4? I spent long time converting methods and still shitton of stuff in pet project is so broken I just switched back to 3.
nibblebit ( @nibblebit@programming.dev ) English3•1 year agoI think you might be out of luck. Even C# projects use a different semantic with dotnet6.
I spent a good long while reimporting resource references and rewriting code.
It was totally worth it tho!
analisys ( @analisys@beehaw.org ) English1•1 year agoRight, thanks for answering. I may just redo my pet project then, my logic seems easier to move than 3D controller stuff which I actually used a template for.
