Is this Total User Counter true? It seems kind of wrong because the Graph is only at 300k and i cannot imagine that we grew 200k people in the last 4 hours.

Looks a lot like their math is summing the total twice. If you add all the data points on the graph it’s about 541k which is close to the number stated abovd, but that includes the already summed “total” dataset.
Bots and spammers coming out in force. Wondering how Lemmy and the Fediverse is going to deal with that down the road.
I actually signed up on three different instances trying to find one with the best ping and best administration. I’ve posted in all three so I’m one user counted as three.
There was a spam sign up attack recently.
