The revelation is prompting some backlash from audiences on social media, given that using AI presumably eliminated the need for graphic designers and animators to craft the opening credits.
The argument is especially timely, since the WGA is currently on strike after failed negotiations with the Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which included language about protecting writers against the use of AI in the writing process. Over the past eight weeks, the use of AI to replace laborers has come to the forefront of many discussions about the strike.
Some social media users have specifically mentioned the writers’ struggle, while others say they have simply decided not to continue watching the series.

It sounds like it was ultimately created by the people at method studios, using their whatever techology. Still, a not so good a thing to do to striking writers. I have my doubts that these shows will be good without writing staff, you can always tell when a story is generated, and it’s always bland.

Ethical arguments aside, you know what it looks like to me? An intro. That’s it. I’ve seen some I like, some I don’t, and a lot that are average enough that they aren’t worthy of comment. If it weren’t for the AI debate, this would fall squarely in the “average” category.

To me it looks like only the actual artwork is AI. There would still be a need for an animator and a graphics designer to actually composite the elements and render it into the final product. Not to mention prompting and cherry picking the AI artwork.
It leaves a bad aftertaste, for sure, but it’s not as simple as “using AI” sounds.
