• @anamana@feddit.de The value of good mental health can’t be underestimated. I wish governments gave mental health care the funding it needs so people can access regular mental health care and also emergency mental health care without jumping through a million hoops and months of waiting.

    • Yep, don’t see a realistic solution to that problem atm sadly. There also just not enough therapists in general. Maybe AI can deal with the simple stuff at some point tho.

    Artificial Intelligence should lift the burden on General Practitioners. In a few years, everyone should have a device in their home they can consult about minor things and get referrals from. Which should free up doctors to specialise more, but the only real way to get more doctors is to pay them more, make it lucrative enough that they all want to work for the national health service. Doctors and teachers should be on more than polititians and/or the military.
