JelloBrains ( @JelloBrains@kbin.social ) 13•2 years agoAll Google has to do is sell this idea to websites and big companies that hate adblockers to try and ram it through. It’ll be like the old days “This site only works with internet explorer 3.0 or greater.”
I appreciate them getting the warnings out and standing against it but if you use one of their browsers or follow their blogs/socials, then chances are you already knew Google Chrome was bad for you.
vermyndax ( @vermyndax@kbin.social ) 2•2 years agoThis has already been happening. I can’t count the times I’m told to use Google Chrome or Firefox because Safari isn’t supported. This isn’t a new thing.
s0x41 ( @s0x41@kbin.social ) 1•2 years agoYeah, they’d be forced to implement it in their browsers eventually if it gains traction.

Ragnell ( @Ragnell@kbin.social ) 6•2 years agoYeah. Man, what a world we live in where we have to hope Microsoft will save us. I’m so depressed.
NotTheOnlyGamer ( @NotTheOnlyGamer@kbin.social ) 2•2 years agoSince they adopted Blink as their browser engine, I just assume that M$ is going to eventually get absorbed into Alphabet in a few years.
👁️👄👁️ ( @mojo@lemm.ee ) English1•2 years agoNah, Microsoft is wayyyy too big for that to ever happen lol
NotTheOnlyGamer ( @NotTheOnlyGamer@kbin.social ) 1•2 years agoI really hope you’re right, but I’m still scared.
