I like that! Oddly, the name “daddy longlegs” applies to craneflies like this in the UK, and to a kind of spider in the US.
EponymousBosh ( @EponymousBosh@beehaw.org ) English2•2 years agoSo fun fact, the US “daddy longlegs” can either refer to a spider, or another group of arachnids that look like spiders but aren’t (which are the ones I am personally more familiar with). The Wikipedia differentiation page for “daddy longlegs” is fun :)
