Quite honestly I miss the 0 engagement you get on Reddit way less than automod
But if you count sealioning and pedantry, there was LOTS of engagement!
Mods over there loved to take down good posts and then immediately repost them for maximum karma. They’d just make up reasons to steal shit, while you’re just out there trying to interact with a community you were passionate about.
Bunch of turds chasing each other down the drain. Good riddance, indeed. The lack of a karma system on Lemmy is one of the best things about it. The underlying idea was fine, but I’m just not convinced there’s any way to implement it that doesn’t encourage low-effort shitposts. No need for karma bots when there’s no karma.
Another reason why i left.
Gooooooooooodbyyyyyeee Reddit-channnnnnn!

Yeah and if you appeal to the mods they have a superiority complex stick in their asses, same with comments, too short
Then one of the mods repost the same link and get all the karma.
