I don’t mean obvious ones like Minecraft. I’m looking for interesting ones like Runescape for instance
MentalEdge ( @MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz ) 8•2 years agoThere’s always Valheim…
But I host Titanfall servers. People are able to play on them using the Northstar client, a mod for the game that lets you connect to community servers, as well as mod the game in general.
Lodion 🇦🇺 ( @lodion@aussie.zone ) 6•2 years agoI’ve not played it in years, but Soldat was always great fun. Server requirements are pretty much: potato.
Anissem ( @Anissem@lemmy.ml ) 2•2 years agoJesus I had forgotten about Soldat
CordanWraith ( @CordanWraith@aussie.zone ) 2•2 years agoI adore Soldat, that game was a large part of my childhoot. They recently released it for free on Steam and have also come out with a sequel
drifty ( @drifty@sopuli.xyz ) 5•2 years agoMinecraft, Veloren, Valheim, Core Keeper
drifty ( @drifty@sopuli.xyz ) 2•2 years agoAlso Bombsquad
ABoxOfNeurons ( @ABoxOfNeurons@lemmy.one ) 4•2 years agoSkyrim together, if you’re particularly into jank.
Roman0 ( @Roman0@versalife.duckdns.org ) 2•2 years ago
RotaryKeyboard ( @RotaryKeyboard@lemmy.ninja ) 4•2 years agoYes, I said it. I stand by it.
Xanvial ( @Xanvial@lemmy.one ) 3•2 years agoThere’s some reverse engineering port of WoW server, for example TrinityCore
To further my little mention about Runescape though I meant classic I believe there are efforts with the modern-day one: https://github.com/Open-RSC/Core-Framework
You can also host final fantasy 11 servers: https://github.com/LandSandBoat/server
z3bra ( @wgs@lemmy.sdf.org ) 2•2 years agoMaybe I’m old, but I loved hosting Open Arena, Teeworlds and Cube 2: Sauerbraten.
plasticus ( @plasticus@beehaw.org ) 2•2 years agoThese are ones I keep coming back to: Farming Simulator, Satisfactory, and Valheim. I’ve also kept up a V-Rising server at times because my friends like it, but I’m not as into that game. Always on the lookout for games to host for friends, so I’m glad I stumbled upon this thread! Found a few in here I’m going to try out.
dko1905 ( @dko1905@discuss.tchncs.de ) 1•2 years agoGarry’s mod. Doesn’t use a lot of resources (compared to newer games like Satisfactory), and you have an almost unlimited amount of content and things to do because of the Community Workshop.
HadManySons ( @HadManySons@lemmy.ml ) 1•2 years agoSpace Engineers is really fun. Kind of a cross between Minecraft and Factorio, but in space.
