RxBrad ( @RxBrad@lemmings.world ) English43•10 months agoI used to get excited by new Android versions. But now I barely notice the difference when a new one drops.
Avid Amoeba ( @avidamoeba@lemmy.ca ) English11•10 months agoIt’s a nice place to be, living the boring OS life with nothing breaking, updating without ever factory resetting.
SkyeStarfall ( @SkyeStarfall@lemmy.blahaj.zone ) English5•10 months agoIt means the OS is maturing, and has all th most necessary things. It is a good thing, indeed.

ChristianWS ( @ChristianWS@lemmy.eco.br ) English7•10 months agoI’m actually pretty excited for this version due to app cloning being added to AOSP, as well for predictive back, but IMO that will be something that will take a couple of years before it gets going to the point where we couldn’t imagine living without it.

JWBananas ( @JWBananas@startrek.website ) English4•10 months agoNever would I have imagined so quickly going from “I need an unlocked bootloader so I can have new, now” to “Ugh, what are they changing this time?”

RxBrad ( @RxBrad@lemmings.world ) English17•10 months agoHey Google… I see you releasing this phone 4 days after the expiration date of the $100 Play Store vouchers that many of us have stashed away.
wait what play store vouchers??
RxBrad ( @RxBrad@lemmings.world ) English4•10 months agoLast year Google had a thing for past customers where if someone used your code when they bought a Pixel, both you and they got a $100 voucher.
Those expire on the last day of September.
Oh I remember those.
