I can’t believe the post didn’t include a picture of the stick. I think I speak for every guy in this thread, I want to see the stick so I can judge how good of a stick it was for myself.

I wouldn’t be suprised if recognizing a strong practical stick is ingrained in our evolved mind.
It’s the primal lizard brain seeing it as a good weapon for defense or hunting. Put a sharpened rock on the end of the stick and now it’s a spear!
Daughter has collected sticks since she could walk. They are all special and unique and can’t possibly be disposed of.
This is me on any hike.
it’s likely our wrists evolved to bend side-to-side because our ancestors fucking loved swinging sticks around so much.
Apparently we are also especially good at locking our wrists which enables us to precisely throw stuff. Probably a similar origin
